We experienced such a busy end to 2013 and a quick ramp on 2014 for Monolith Software. I thought it would be a good idea to review last year and talk about the road ahead in 2014.
We accomplished a lot in 2013, but some of the highlights are listed below:
- Monolith announced a new release and rebrand of our product as AssureNow. Below is what I said about our new release:
“The new AssureNow capabilities radically simplify integration, deployment, and support efforts with completely open and customizable packaging, rules management, and dynamic dashboards and portals. The AssureNow platform and its packaging and REST APIs enable service providers and enterprises to automate the development, deployment, and operations life cycle for assuring new services, while also enabling simple and low risk legacy tools migration and consolidation.” - We rolled out a new website that is designed to be easier to navigate so you can find the information you need regarding our products and services. It also has some great blog content like a post written by Monolith CEO, Bill Cannon, titled “A Paradigm Shift from Legacy Monitoring Systems” and a post by our SVP of Marketing, Mike Miracle, on Unified Monitoring Use Cases.
- Monolith hosted and completed a beta program with five customers and partners who were involved with a limited release program and involving seven customers and partners for a full successful upgrade in December. Check out my twitter feed @Shawn_Ennis for all the screenshots.
- Patrick Kelly and Analysys Mason hosted a webinar with Broadvox, one of our customers, onDriving IT and OSS Transformation with Unified Service Assurance.
- Monolith sponsored TM Forum Management World in Nice, France and TM Forum Digital Disruption 2013 in San Jose with speaking engagements and interviews in the press as well as continuous demonstrations of the AssureNow product.
- Monolith also attended Ethernet & SDN Expo at Interop (NYC) and DataCentres Ireland (Dublin) with a speaking engagement on Service Assurance in the DataCentre.
While 2013 was an extremely successful year, we have big plans for the future. There is so much to do at Monolith in 2014, and here is a brief sampling of the things you can expect me to post about:
- Deb MacCallum joined our team in early 2014 to run operations which will free me up to focus more on the external marketplace and plan future AssureNow solutions
- GA Release of AssureNow (ping me below if you want a demo now)
- Talk about “being agile” and how we are enabling customers, partners, and ourselves
- Open Daylight Summit in Santa Clara, February 4-5
- TM Forum Live (Nice, France) in June, where I am looking forward to our case study presentation
- Hearing from partners and customers on what they are able to achieve with our AssureNow platform
- Talk about how Monolith is developing and demonstrating solution use cases to illustration of our value proposition of radically simplifying integration, deployment, and support efforts.
- Lots more on SDN/NFV and how this is going to change CSPs long-term strategies
